FOOTBALL
Boyz… football. We back. The WiseGuys have missed the constituents the last few weeks and we are excited to be back in the aggregation game for week… 5? I guess? Technically?
Feels weird saying this because there really aren’t a ton of games this week but for some reason this feels like a big slate. Conference only play from most schools makes every weekend in the fall a big deal and we have some great matchups to breakdown here.
With limited complete consensus from our WiseGuys, I am going to take a few liberties with today’s picks and give out some of my own favorites as well. Why should you listen to me? I’m up 17 units in the last 3 weeks and hot as hell. Let’s get it:
Texas Tech @ Kansas State -2
Tech coming off of a massive barn burner let down and KSU having no clue who the fuck they are after losing to Arkansas State in week 1 then beat Oklahoma last week. Weird game on paper, but this is also our only complete consensus with 6 WiseGuys picking KSU, none picking Tech.
Ole Miss +6 @ Kentucky
Expect Joey Fatwater *Freshwater to roll in to Kentucky ready to open up the offense and let the pigskin fly all over Kroger field (lol, Kroger field. Kentucky is so pathetic). I love this game at +6 and so do the WiseGuys with 8 of them picking Ole Miss, only 1 picking Kentucky.
Auburn +7 @ Georgia
What is there to say about Georgia? A bunch of underachieving losers who can’t make it over the hump. How about they mix it up this year and let their fans down in October instead of December? Slawburn rolls in to Athens as a typical tough matchup and they sure aren’t afraid of Friar Tuck and crew. Not exactly a consensus but 10 WiseGuys picked Aubrun, 4 picked Georgia.
Boods Picks: These are my personal favorites today with a short reasoning behind each. I will be playing everything above as well.
Arkansas +18 @ Mississippi St. – Arkansas showed life last week and has nothing to lose. State is coming off the high of beating LSU. Arkansas doesn’t catch them sleeping, but the backdoor is open for a cover.
Texas A&M +18 @ Alabama – Lotta points to be laying to Jimbo and an offense that can score quick. That Bama defense is obviously tough, but we can accept a 17 point loss and still win? I’ll take it.
TCU +13 @ Texas – Probably worth buying the point here but I like TCU in this matchup. The Horned Frogs always play well against Texas and have won 5 of the last 6 in this matchup and 2 of the last 3 in Austin. Gimme the Frogs.
