Degenerate doggz, welcome to week 2!
Our aggregated picks saw a winning 4-3 record in week one and we are looking forward to hopefully dishing out more winners this week. With mother nature destroying my vocal chords, you only get articles this week but we will return next week with the pod. Now, let’s get rich.
NCAA FOOTBALL – WEEK 2
USC @ Stanford – Stanford -3.5
Look, if there is one thing I absolutely can’t stand, it’s a -3.5 line. The hook, the number, the way it looks on my screen – everything about this makes me sick. With that being said, Stanford -3.5 was picked by two of our follows with zero conflict. And to be honest, I like this bet too. USC trounced UNLV (as expected) last week and this week we get to see what they are made of on the road against Stanford. Everything I read and saw leading up to this year had USC down and I even took them u8.5 wins this season. That is why they will lose this game, and by 3+ points. Caveat – I will be buying a half point because I’m a scared bitch, but you do you.
Clemson @ Texas A&M – Texas A&M +13
Clemson is going to win the game, but having witnessed a close game in College Station (a heartbreaking double overtime loss in which we – Tennessee Vols – had 7 turnovers), I believe it will be close. Not because A&M fans are so dominating and loud… but because they and their city are strange AF. No one talks shit, they have male cheerleaders that are REVERED on campus and, generally speaking, it feels like you are in the twilight zone. None of that really has anything to do with this game, but I felt like sharing. Jimbo is familiar with Clemson and will have his guys ready. At 6pm it will be cooling off, but that means it will only be 100 degrees on the field. Clemson will wear down and A&M will not give up. Oh, and two of our follows picked this one with no conflicts.
Wyoming @ Missouri – Mizzou -17.5
I don’t know why everyone is picking lines with a hook on them but we had two sources pick Mizzou -17.5 at home this weekend. Missouri is going to score and Wyoming probably won’t – simple as that. While I do see Mizzou giving up double digit points, I think they could easily hang 40+ and I don’t see Wyoming getting in the 20s. With that being said, I have not yet played this line, but it is on my radar. Wouldn’t be afraid to put it in a 7-point teaser.
Nevada @ Vandy – Nevada +9
“Boods, you great prognosticator, tell us what you know about Nevada!?” Honestly, I don’t know anything about Nevada – so I just took 15 minutes to do some research and I am now loving this pick. The Wolf Pack (two words) dropped 72 points on the mighty Portland State last week and have a high powered offense. They are at the top of the Mountain West and there is some hype surrounding the team this year. Here is their opportunity to come into a (shitty) SEC stadium and make a name for themselves early in the season. I can see them winning this one outright – two of our sources agreed. Lock in the Wolf Pack +9.
AGGREGATED PICKS THAT HAD CONFLICTS
UCLA @ Oklahoma -31.5 – One picked UCLA, one picked Oklahoma. I tend to lean UCLA in this game but will most likely not play it.
Mississippi State -9 @ Kansas State – Saw disagreement here between two sources. I don’t have much of a pulse on this team, but I effing LOVE Stingray so I will be pulling for the ‘dogs. Miss. State is the better team but Bill Snyder is the better coach. Not gunna touch it.
Duke @ Northwestern -3 – Had two sources take Duke here and one take Northwestern. NW got a big win (for them) over Purdue last week but I’m not sold. I personally like Duke here but have not played it yet. Might toss that in a teaser with Mizzou.
Arkansas State @ Alabama -37 – I suck at massive lines like this and hate Alabama. I’m not the person you want to pick this. And two sources disagreed. Stay away and let’s go Red Wolves (bruh, that’s seriously their name).
Air Force @ FAU -9.5 – FAU really laid an egg for me this last weekend and clearly my barometer on them is off. Had two sources split over this decision. I am too.
