We hoopin aint it!
Constituents! We have a great NCAAB slate today and as we wind every so slowly closer to conference tournaments, these games begin to mean a lot more (unless you’re in the SEC where EVERYTHING MEANS MORE DAMMIT!). As if the slate wasn’t good enough, the hoop gods blessed us with great games all throughout the day! So, put off the garage clean-out project, unload your bankroll and let’s throw some darts. Of all the picks today, I personally like Mississippi State the best. Coming off of an OT loss at LSU on Tuesday, the boys are hungry and have talent all over the court. They have the athleticism to stay with the Cats and I am hoping the home crowd will help them stay in this game until late. Kentucky comes in cocky (no shit) and starting down back to backs next week at home vs LSU and then THE #1 UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE VOLUNTEERS. Hoping MSU can punch them in the mouth early and catch them off guard.
The Duke vs Virginia is appealing because both of these teams play incredibly hard on the defensive side of the ball and this is a big moment for each. A lot of nerves going in to this one so I am hoping it stays out of shootout territory. LSU as a short favorite at home against Auburn seemed like a good pick to me, but I liked the moneyline value the most. Paired it up with an athletic FAU team that plays at Texas San Antonio today in front of a raucous crown of maybe ~8 people. I bought the spread up to +9.5 assuming they won’t lose by double digits with an evenly matched team.
