Constituents! Week 6 is upon us and we got more green than a Boulder, Colorado dorm on 4/20! Coming off a ridiculous 9-1-1 week last week we are looking to parlay that good fortune in to another winning week!
While last week had a lot of consensus picks, this week has seen a lot of dissension with several near misses. Because of that, I am going to give out a full review of all games that had more than 2 picks from our experts. Keep in mind, we are only giving out the consensus picks as official WiseGuys plays, but you can benefit from the other research we have too.
Let’s get to it with the official consensus picks:
Kansas State @ Baylor – Kansas State +4.5
Cash has been rolling in on K-State all week as we have seen this number drip down from +6 to +4.5 but our WiseGuys are still all over it. K-State comes in as a 6-pick consensus this week and hope that Head Coach Father Time can get the defense in form and get some stops in Bear country. This could be the greatest siege in Waco since 1993 if the Wildcats play their cards right. K-State +4.5 – Book it.
Utah State @ BYU – Utah State +2.5
Bunch of big, slow mormons playing football. Other than that there’s really not much to see here. Our Wiseguys have been on both of these teams all year and in this game they are siding with the *googles Utah State’s Mascot* Big Blue (?). Utah State is looking for salvation on Saturday and should be on the hunt for some defensive stops and hopefully some big plays, not golden plates in Joseph Smith’s backyard. 5-pick consensus here, I’m gunna be a wuss and but the half point too.
Louisiana Lafayette @ Texas State – Louisiana Lafayette -3.5
Another game where I will be buying the half point. Don’t know a ton about these schools so not gunna force a Breakdown. 3 of our experts picked ULL so I am going to do the same.
Kansas @ West Virginia – Kansas +28
Holy shit I can’t believe I am writing this but yes, we are giving out Kansas this week as a 5-pick consensus. I am a bit surprised by this pick but 28 points is a lot and WVU has nothing to prove on Saturday. Pending Dana Holgerson can crawl from the floor of his local shit-pile Morgantown watering hole and make it to the game on time, I expect WVU to win but our guys think it stays within the spread.
California @ Arizona +2.5 – Arizona +2.5
Yet another game where I will be buying a half point, but our WiseGuys LOVE this one. Sitting currently as a 5-pick consensus with 3 experts taking the money line, our touts are expecting a big day for the Wildcats on Saturday. I personally may take them in a ML parlay but will definitely be on this game.
